About the Membership Cadres

GACK welcomes a wide range of members, from aspiring students to seasoned educators, ministers, scholars, and institutional partners, through our structured membership portfolio. Each cadre reflects a unique level of engagement, responsibility, and recognition.

ASSOCIATE
$30

The Associate Membership is open to to any applicant who does not meet the requirements for Family Educator or Professional Membership, but has some relevant training in the practice of family focused work. Applicants must satisfy the committee that they meet the criteria to be an Associate Member as determined by the Committee of Management. This Membership category is open to students, retired, non-practicing practitioners or those who have an interest and/or training in the practice of family focused work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Relevant OND, HND, Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree.
  2. Support the objects of the Association and demonstrate a commitment to socially purposeful, responsible, practitioner family education in the Body of Christ and the larger society interest.
  3. Adhere to our Rules and Regulations, including our Code of Practitioner Conduct.

ACCESS TO:

  1. The membership designation letter after your name "AAFE" (Associate of the Association of Family Educators).
  2. Online resources to support your study module.
  3. Trusted information sources, including our biannual Familiology Magazine.
  4. Limited access to a wide range of online Continuing Practitioner Development (CPD) resources.
  5. Powerful networking opportunities with family educators and practitioners.
  6. Opportunities to build your professional profile.
GRADUATE
$120

The Graduate Membership is open to only graduates of PGD in Family Education organised by the Association in partnership with the Centre for Family Education and Research (CFER) of Testament Theological Seminary and are designated as "GAFE" (Graduate of the Association of Family Educators). 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Diploma/Bachelor/PGD/Masters in Family Education or Family Ministry or Family Theology, etc.
  2. Support the objects of the Association and demonstrate a commitment to socially purposeful, responsible, practitioner family education in the Body of Christ and the larger society interest.
  3. Adhere to our Rules and Regulations, including our Code of Practitioner Conduct.

ACCESS TO:

  1. The membership designation letter after your name "GAFE" (Graduate of the Association of Family Educators).
  2. Online resources to support your study module.
  3. Trusted information sources, including our biannual Familiology Magazine.
  4. Unlimited access to a wide range of online Continuing Practitioner Development (CPD) resources.
  5. Powerful networking opportunities with Family educators and practitioners.
  6. Opportunities to build your professional profile.
  7. Teaching Assistantship opportunity  with our partner institutions.
FELLOW
$250

The Fellow Membership is elected by the Association's Board of Trustees for a significant contribution to Familial Studies and Education and the objectives of the Association and is designated as "FAFE" (Fellow of the Association of Family Educators).

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Elected by the Association's Board of Trustees.
  2. Relevant Doctorate, scholarly dedication as a Practitioner which includes Family Studies, Family Education, Family Theology, Family Ministry, Family Therapy and Counselling, Family Resource Management, and Family-based Discipleship.
  3. Participate in our Continuing Practitioner Development (CPD) scheme.
  4. Act as an emissary to the Body of Christ and an ambassador for the Association.
  5. Support the objects of the Association and demonstrate a commitment to socially purposeful, responsible, practitioner family education in the Body of Christ  and the larger society interest.
  6. Adhere to our Rules and Regulations, including our Code of Practitioner Conduct.

ACCESS TO:

  1. The membership designation letter after your name "FAFE" (Fellow of the Association of Family Educators).
  2. Online resources to support your memnership transition into professional  cadre.
  3. Trusted information sources, including our biannual Familiology Magazine.
  4. Unlimited access to a wide range of online Continuing Practitioner Development (CPD) resources.
  5. Powerful networking opportunities with family educators and practitioners.
  6. Opportunities to build your professional profile.
  7. Teaching and scholarship opportunities  with our partner institutions.
  8. Priviledge to champion/start the GAFE Chapter nationally, regionally, and internationally.
CORPORATE
$100

The Associate Corporate Membership is open to any registered Christian or secular institution or community  involve in the Family Education. We need the company’s Profile/Management Structure to determine the place of Family Education and Research (FER); Company’s Certificate of Incorporation; Current Annual Report & Financial Statement (If applicable); Reference from a Practitioner Member of the Association (Graduate Member or Fellow); Company’s Registered Office Address (including e-mail).

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Adhere to our Rules and Regulations, including our Code of Practitioner Conduct
  2. Participate in our Continuing Practitioner Development  (CPD) scheme for your staff.
  3. Act as an emissary to the Body of Christ or the larger society and an ambassador for the Association
  4. Support the objects of the Association and demonstrate a commitment to socially purposeful, responsible, practitioner family education in the Body of Christ and the larger society interest.

ACCESS TO:

  1. Online resources to support your workplace development
  2. Free participation in our annual Familiology Best Practitioner Award
  3. The membership designation 'CAFE.'
  4. Trusted information sources, including a hard copy of our biannual Familiology Magazine
  5. Ready access to AFE subject matter experts on issues relating to familiology and familial practices.
  6. Free booths or adverts for collaboration with AFE through sponsorships of key programmes.
